Age: DOB is November 19^th, 1996; she’s fifteen.

Species: Questionably human.

Abilities: Unlike her “father”, Jay, Tammy’s light concentration is rather weak; something that every alien teenager should be totally ashamed of. Tammy’s skills instead lie in shadow and weather manipulation. Of her kind, she was a ‘weather girl’— someone who kept away nasty weather like acid rain clouds and strong winds telekinetically. But being a spunky young teenage girl, she’s easily angered and desperately wants to fit in— so don’t be surprised when a hot June day is showering down rain by mid-afternoon. Tammy’s light manipulation extends only far enough for her to move shadows; she can bend the light around them to recreate them in odd shapes (she’s always been the best at shadow puppets) or completely hide them, but that’s about it. She’s very clever with colors and has an innate fashion sense.

Interested in: Tammy is far more adept at understanding human customs than Jay is; all the human girls at her school have made it quite clear that boys are the thing to be interested in, so she definitely hunkers after the cuties in (and outside of) her classes.

Appearance: Tammy is a picture off a 50’s poster. She has perfectly coiffed and curled light brown hair she ties back with big ribbons that match whatever bright frock she’s wearing that day, as well as owning several pairs of fashionable low heels. She has yet to understand why her school doesn’t host sock hops, though. She has very long lashes and bright blue eyes, just like Jay. At the urging of her best human friends, she has gone out to buy tasteful pairs of jeans, sneakers and modest blouses, but she only wears them in situations where they’re practical.

Personality: Tammy is a pretty typical stubborn, smart and dramatic teenage girl. She strives to do her best in all her work; including keeping scrupulous notes on human behaviors. She has a hard time fitting in with society, just like her “father”, but with the help of a mostly-supportive group of teenage girls, she’s learned a lot about Earth in a very short period of time. Tammy wants very badly to own a VW Bug and has been informed that all Earth girls like ponies.

Additional info: Obviously, she isn’t Jay’s daughter (who has a kid at the age of nine)? It was a massively misdirected decision on their CO’s part to write their aliases this way, and too late to change them; he could’ve sworn that a human female’s ovulation cycles begin at around the age of nine. Instead, they are partners from their planet’s military, reconnaissance soldiers sent to collect information to provide their species with a better idea of how to protect and isolate themselves; what with humans looking around for ‘alien life’ on other planets. She practices human martial arts to make up for her lack of remarkable alien talent, but radical shifts in weather and temperature also assist her if she’s ever up against trouble. She, like Jay, has very thin skin that is sensitive to touch and is easily wounded.

Jay Character Profile

Name: Garrett “Jay” Glenn

Age: DOB is March 23^rd, 1987; he’s twenty-four.

Gender: Male

Species: Questionably human

Abilities: Jay’s ‘questionably human’ status stems from the fact that he doesn’t have recognizable human genomes of any kind, and may in fact be an alien. He’s not talkin’, however, so as far as the rest of the world is concerned, his wild super skills are just because. Jay can create concentrated balls of pure light energy in his palms, and is free to light up any other part of his body as well; comes in handy at raves when everyone else has taken the glow sticks. Consistently, this energy has several uses and can be used to push against the Earth’s magnetic field and create anti-gravity for Jay to fly short distances, and burns brightly enough to excite material atoms and force combustion. Jay’s also got a knack for speaking languages, and has been known to spend long hours conversing in apparent gibberish with the animals at the zoo.

Interested In: Jay is incapable of recognizing or understanding sexuality, and for some strange reason, was unaware of differing anatomy in human beings; he definitely appreciates what girls have to offer, though, and chases them down rather passionately.

Appearance: Jay’s actual hair color is uncertain; it’s currently black, white and bright blue-striped. His eyes are an improbable shade of light blue. In an effort to conform to the stereotypes young human males present, he owns several pairs of skinny jeans and at least fifteen sets of shutter shades; he’s always wearing a pair.

Personality: He gives off intensely chill vibes; Jay’s sheer lack of understanding for human customs, coupled with an enthusiasm to do well and fit in amongst the Earth people creates a zone of confused, but always bright attitude. Jay is the last to get angry and the last to understand when something ordinary is out of place. Highly ignorant of actual human behaviors, he studies television and very old instructional videos; but despite his poor blending skills, Jay’s a party-going raver who thrives on the lights of the city at midnight, and a strong drinker, a skill that has assisted him greatly when he behaves oddly in public.

Additional Info: Jay and his “daughter” are from a far-off planet in an unnamed galaxy, sent to Earth to study a variety of human subjects and report specific individuals’ behaviors back to their planet’s government. They are one of many alien ‘inserts’, struggling to stay hidden and observe Earth’s many wonderful creations. And aside from his apparent social clumsiness, he’s a powerful fighter and a very high-ranking member of their planet’s military. He’s extremely swift and agile, but has highly sensitive, thin skin that is easily broken and bruised, so he relies on distraction and surprise tactics during close combat to pound his enemies into the ground.
